The Nebraska Center for Nursing offers a variety of programs and services designed to support the nursing profession. These include continuing education opportunities, professional development programs, mentorship and networking events, and resources for nursing students and educators. Our mission is to advance the nursing profession through education, research, and community engagement.
Nebraska’s $510,000 state grants aim to enhance nursing education through advanced simulation tools like mannequins and virtual reality, addressing workforce shortages. Administered by the Nebraska Hospital Association, the funds support Clarkson College, Methodist College, Metropolitan Community College, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Union College, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. The initiative seeks to modernize nursing training and foster hospital-community partnerships, with further funding available under Legislative Bill 227 for institutions demonstrating innovative training and partnership solutions.
